2010 Business Plan Contest - Intent to Present (BV Track)

This poll's results will not be available to respondents online.

BINDING INTENTION TO PRESENT - Business Venture (BV) Track

The First Round of judging for the 2010 Business Plan Contest will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in an assigned Aldrich Room on Harvard Business School's campus from 8:30am until 1:00pm.

All teams who want to continue to participate in the Business Venture (BV) Track of the Contest:
-- MUST submit this poll by NOON on Monday, March 29;
-- MUST submit 10 hard copies of their plan and slide deck to Alice Moses in Rock Center 107 by noon on Thursday, April 8; and
--- MUST make a live presentation to judges on Saturday, April 10. These live presentations will form the basis for selecting the 10 semi-finalists who become eligible for the awards in the BV Track of the Contest. Therefore, any team that does not present will be deemed to have withdrawn and will not be eligible for any prize monies. Of course, you are still eligible to receive academic credit in keeping with any course arrangements you have made.

Note that teams who do not wish to make a live presentation are still eligible to receive reimbursement of up to $1,000 of legitimate expenses (if they entered the Contest prior to the December 18 deadline). However, you must still turn in a document to receive the reimbursement. This may be either a business plan or a substantive report on why you did not proceed.

All teams participating in the Business Plan Contest are held to the standards of the Harvard Business School Honor Code.

* As you know, the Business Plan Contest rules require that when HBS students are participating with non-HBS teammates, the HBS student(s) needs to be a substantive member of the founding team, and must have the opportunity to pursue the contemplated venture and participate in the equity pool in a manner consistent with their contribution, role and position.

If you are on a team with non-HBS teammates, select 'Yes' to certify that all HBS students acknowledge that this stipulation has been met.
